Title: Colonel Sam Steele's Bicorn or Cocked Hat and Hat case

Date: ca. 1907

North-West Mounted Police Superintendent Sam Steele retired from the Police in 1903. He worked as a member of the South African Police force until 1906 and returned to Canada in 1907. He joined Canada's military in 1908 and became Commander of District 13 (Alberta and part of the NWT) and later took command of the larger District 10 (based in Winnipeg).
