Remarks: Walter Moodie, 1837-1914, came to Alberta with his family from Quebec City in 1891 and settled on the Glenbow Ranch. Portrait probably taken around the time of his wedding to Janet E. Johnson.

Remarks: Janet Elizabeth Moodie, [ca.1845]-1894, came to Alberta with her family from Quebec City in 1891 and settled on the Glenbow Ranch. Portrait probably taken around the time of her wedding to Walter Moodie.

Remarks: Age 14-15. In 1891, Walter Hill Moodie moved to Alberta with his parents and sisters and settled on the Glenbow Ranch. Photograph inscribed on the back "To Aunt Berthia."

Date: [ca.1891]

Remarks: Walter Hill Moodie moved from Quebec City to Alberta in 1891 with his parents, Walter and Janet, and sisters, Margaret, Marion and Lucy. The family settled on the Glenbow Ranch until1894 when they moved into Calgary. Shortly after, young Walter left Calgary to work on the Dominion Lands Survey in southern Alberta. Note his working outfit of hat, scarf and gloves.

Remarks: Walter Hill Moodie moved from Quebec City to Alberta in 1891 with his parents, Walter and Janet, and sisters, Margaret, Marion and Lucy. The family settled on the Glenbow Ranch until1894 when they moved into Calgary. Shortly after, young Walter left Calgary to work on the Dominion Lands Survey in southern Alberta. Remarks: Marion Moodie trained as a nurse at the Calgary General Hospital and was their first graduate in 1898. After graduation, she did home nursing in Calgary for several years.
