Remarks: Caption reads: "Papastis - This man lead the charge in the tribal wars."
He took a reserve just south of Edmonton. His name was spelled a wide variety of ways in including Papastis, Papachase, Passpasschase, Papaschase, Papasschayo, Papastayo, Paspaschess, Paspaschew, and Pahspahschase. He was also called John Kiwenis, John Kwenis, John Quinns, John Quinn, John Gladu and John Gladieu.
