Janey Canuck International Training in Communications Club fonds

The Janey Canuck Toastmistress Club, a women's self-improvement group, was organized in Calgary, Alberta in 1956. It is a branch of the International Toastmistress Club. The aims of the club are to help members improve their public speaking and leadership skills, to promote confidence and cooperation, and to stimulate community service and responsible citizenship. Violet Lucas and Lila McNair were charter members. The name became the Janey Canuck International Training in Communications Club in the 1985. The Club folded in 1995.

Scope and Content:
The fonds consists of constitution and bylaws, minutes, committee records, correspondence, membership lists, financial records, conference proceedings, scrapbooks and ITC skill development material.

Gift of the Janey Canuck International Training in Communications Club, 1981-2002.
