Physical Description: 40 cm of textual records. -- ca. 1000 photographs
History: Raleigh Pearl Hickle, 1873-1963, was born in Indiana, USA and came to Calgary, Alberta in 1910. He was a contractor in and also owned a farm at Delacour. In 1899 he married Della Dora Dawson, 1880-1965, at Kewanna, Indiana, and they had one daughter, Ruth Estella, 1901-? Ruth was a Calgary school teacher. The family often visited relatives in Youngstown.
Scope and Content: The fonds consists of Ruth's letters of commendation, greeting cards, obituaries, Ruth's Bible, family mementos, etc. Also consists of photographs of the Hickle family in Youngstown and Calgary, and vacations in the mountains, especially the Rockies and Banff.
