History: The Canadian Girls' Rodeo Association was first formed in 1957 as the Canadian Barrel Racing Association. In 1962 the name changed to Canadian Girls' Barrel Racing and Rodeo Association, and in 1967 it became a registered society under its present name. The association organizes and supervises girls' rodeo events, works for improved conditions and rules governing events, and acts as a central place of registration for rodeo cowgirls.
Scope and Content: The fonds consists of minutes, rule books, circuit directories, newsletters, financial statements, rodeo programs and posters, rodeo payout registers, etc.
