History: The Calgary Women's Literary Club was formed in Calgary, Alberta in 1906. The first executive consisted of Mrs. Davidson, Miss Cutten, Miss McLennan, and Mrs. George Macdonald. The aim of the club is to study and discuss various forms of literature. An early project of the Club was to help in the establishment of a public library for the city, under the provisions of the Carnegie Foundation.
Scope and Content: The fonds consists of minutes, correspondence, resumes of papers, programs, financial documents, newsclippings, memberships and photographs.
