Calgary Activettes Club fonds

The Calgary Activettes Club was formed in 1952 by 29 women, as an adjunct to the male Active 20-30 Club. The first president was Betty England. The club's declared objectives are to promote friendship among its members, to assist the Active 20-30 Clubs, and to engage in charitable welfare and/or civic work in the community. Its main charitable project has been the support of the Southern Alberta Deaf Centre.

Scope and Content:
The fonds consists of constitution and bylaws, minutes, committee reports, project files, membership rosters, newsletters. accounts ledgers and scrapbooks.

Source of Acquisition:
Gift of Calgary Activettes Club, 1988.
