The Turner Valley Oilfield Society was originally established in 1978 as the High Country Historical Preservation Society. The name was later changed to the Turner Valley Oilfield Society. One of the key goals of the society is to preserve and interpret the history of the former Royalite/Madison Gas plant in Turner Valley, Alberta. Many society members were also affiliated with the the Hell's Half Acre Oilfield Society.

Scope and Content:
The fonds consists of minutes, annual reports, correspondence, project files, reference material, and donated collections.
