24 audio cassettes. -- 2 cm of textual records

Waterton Lakes National Park contracted with Leslie Robertson to conduct interviews with pioneers of the Park area. Those interviewed were George Annand, Betty (Annand) Baker, Doris (Riggall) Burton, Jack Ekelund, Vern Gairns, Frank Goble, Nora (Bruce) Hahn, Nellie (Hunter) Hadfield and Marge Harwood, Evelyn "Byrd" and Bob Hill, Tom Jenkins, Frank Johansen, Ed and Cherly Mitchell, Nellie (Deriviere) Murphy, Dorothy (Barnes) Reist, Andy Russell, Jim and Agnes Scott, Canada Wayne Sommerfeldt, Oaklie Thompson and Ruby Lacey, Ila (Terrill) White, and Helen (Strate) Woolf.

Scope and Content:
The collection consists of recorded interviews and interview summaries with pioneers of Waterton Lakes National Park. Frank Goble, and Ed and Cheryl Mitchell were interviewed but not recorded, although notes were taken and are found with the inventory. There is very poor sound quality on the Tom Jenkins recorded interview due to a cassette malfunction. The Frank Johansen interview summary is accompanied by extensive biographical material about his great aunt, Lu Nielson.
