Title: Western Canadian Wheat Growers' Association fonds

History: The Palliser Wheat Growers' Association was formed in 1970, in Saskatchewan, in response to seriously diminished wheat sales. Nearly 3000 farmers joined together to improve the marketing of wheat and to expand their markets. Since 1972 the association has been represented on the advisory board to the Canadian Wheat Board. In 1985 the name was changed to the Western Canadian Wheat Growers' Association, in recognition of the fact that it represented wheat growers in all the western provinces.
Scope and Content: The fonds consists of proceedings of annual conventions, and newsletters.
