History:
The material in this collection was compiled by Reverend Stephen Wilk of Airdrie, Alberta for two books he wrote: Pioneers of the Faith, a History of the Airdrie United Church; and One Day's Journey, a General History of the Airdrie District. The latter was published by the Airdrie Community Improvement Club.

Scope and Content:
The collection consists of interviews with and biographies of Airdrie pioneers, completed questionnaires about schools and churches, newsclippings and articles, Westminister S.D. records (1908-1927), Airdrie United Church records (1917-1948), and miscellaneous photographs, programs, poems, notes, etc.
