History:
The Shell Wives' Club was formed in 1955 in Edmonton, Alberta as a social club for the wives of Shell Oil Company employees. The club supported one charitable project per year, including the Pink Pelican Club, a social club for handicapped teenagers sponsored by the Rehabilitation Society of Calgary. In 1971, Shell's head office was moved to Calgary and the club re-established itself in Calgary. Despite efforts to involve female employees as well as wives, interest and membership in the club declined during the late 1970s and the club folded in 1981.

Scope and Content:
The fonds consists of constitution, annual reports, minutes, membership rosters, correspondence, treasurers' reports, and scrapbooks.
