History: The material in this collection was compiled by Ken Penley of Calgary, Alberta as part of a history project undertaken by the Alberta Pharmaceutical Association to document Alberta's pharmacists and drugstores. After the history book was published, Penley continued to collect material. Scope and Content: The collection consists of biographical files about Alberta pharmacists, recorded interviews (sound) with pharmacists, historical files on drugstores, prescriptions and formula books, and photographs of pharmacists and their activities. Includes reminiscences of the 1918 influenza epidemic.
