Ghost River Pony Club fonds

The Ghost River Pony club was established by Agness Hammond, 1910-1997, and Helen McDonald at the Ghost River Ranch northwest of Cochrane, Alberta in 1947. The first event was held in 1948, then continuously for 50 years until 1998. Pony clubs were first established in Canada in 1934 and their aim is to encourage young people to improve their equestrian skills. Scope and Content:
The fonds consists of minutes, membership records, financial records, and other material related to the activities of the club.
