Executive Women International. Calgary Local fonds

In May 1939 Executive Secretaries Inc., an association organized by Lucille J. Perkins to encourage top secretaries and key women to work with their executives in the interest of their firms and for civic betterment, received its charter in San Francisco. Chapters were soon established throughout Canada and the United States. The local in Calgary, Alberta received its local charter in August 1964. In 1977 the name of the organization was changed to Executive Women International. The Calgary local participates in many philanthropic projects in addition to its social and business activities.

Scope and Content:
The fonds consists of minutes, committee reports, membership lists, business correspondence, financial statements, corporate board records of the International coordinating body, convention proceedings, and newsletters. Includes an audio recording, slides, and literature pertaining to the 1975-1976 orientation program.
